Re: Star Trek
I think they wanted the old Spock to show the younger Spock that it is okay to be part human, and that it was pointless for him to say Live Long and Prosper, since he obviously will.

Re: OOOOOPS!
If it were hijacked, and yes it is possible. The plane would most certainly be blown out of the sky either by someone on the plane or by escorts, due to it's ability to run the nation from the sky and the secrets on board.

Re: Queensday drama
Well in the US it's different, in my opinion we're becoming a "give me", "it's my job", "it's my right to drive a car", etc., nation. I'm not owed anything, it's not my job I just get paid to do the duties assigned to it, and it's not my right.. it's my privilege to drive a car. But it is my right t...

Re: Queensday drama
All depends on where the car hits the bus. Don't forget that this was an open top bus, and wasn't obviously going that fast. If aimed correctly he could have taken out at least half of the Dutch Royal Family. Just needed a nice little curb to get that car air borne.

Re: Queensday drama
I can understand the pressure the guy was under. But I will never understand people taking it out on others. That never accomplishes anything, for any one.

ROTFLMAO.. oinkment... :rolf6: W.H.O. is the one calling it a pandemic... Based on assessment of all available information and following several expert consultations, Dr Margaret Chan, WHO's Director-General raised the current level of influenza pandemic alert from phase 4 to 5. She stated that all ...
Re: OOOOOPS!
Yeah, but even if it wasn't escorted. That plane can take care of itself.

Re: Grim ....
do two wongs make a wong tong soup? :rolf6: I'm not saying we shouldn't let Obama's plan work, I hope it does stimulate the economy in a positive manner. But I really hope this doesn't push us to a more socialistic form of government and the economy that goes with it, etc. Government didn't create J...

Denial my ass... If I'm in denial then why did Bill Clinton agree with Bush, by telling ABC News last year that the blame for the Fannie Mae Meltdown Lies squarely at the feet of Corrupt DEMOCRATS who blocked efforts to regulate and investigate Fannie Mae. Hmmm? This is sounding more like a hate bus...
Re: Grim ....
But you never ever ever help the economy by raising taxes. Higher taxes, less revenue coming into the gov't. These lovely democrats are "rolling back the bush tax cuts...." What they're really doing is raising taxes on everyone, not just the "top 5%." Turned a blind eye to the mortgage lending? Are ...
Re: Grim ....
They can hold their hands out for all the money they want. The problem is that they are actually getting the money. CEO's do what they are contracted to do. Find ways to keep the company in business, and make the shareholders happy. If they fail to meet their contractual obligations they don't get t...

Okay, I've never lost ANYTHING on MARTA :rolf6: And I used to use the system all the time. Coke is cool. I managed to do both in half a day, same day, since they're right beside each other. Be prepared for the pricey gift shop tho. I think the best parts were the taste testing, and the plant operati...

So how long is this convention? Hit up the World of Coca Cola and the Georgia Aquarium on Baker St, across from Centennial Olympic Park. If you're there this weekend the local Six Flags park is opening for the season as well (I-20 on the westside of town).
