Spectrum ZX - Old Fogey games

The best of my youth was spent on Maziacs, Chuckie Egg 2 and Bomb Jack (and countless others).
I am terrified of emailing this site to my dad, because he's a bit of a gamer...and he has projects to finish from what I've heard:D Back in the day, he cracked several of these games for unlimited lives. Now I really feel uncomfortable playing Chuckie 2, an arcade/adventure, with "only" 5 lives.

Plus, they seem to run under Linux, probably on some massive emulator. *Total nerd-vana* I caught a glimpse of a .tar.gz extension as one of these was loading...and if you mess with the keys as it's loading you get the BASIC prompt. Fun, fun, fun for the entire family.

Chuckie Egg

<drifts off into badly coloured flashbacks.

Of the joy of the Speccy speaking in Robocop, the ecstasy of cutting off your opponents head with a spinning sword in Barbarian (not to mention the boobs on the chick on the cover), awe at the whole star system in Starglider 2 and joy at completing Myth.

The speccy was great.

I'm steering clear of that site or I'll never get to work.
