Been tried a few times by others and I don't think they ever made it...however the one selling pixels did pretty good.

http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/

they sold out

You're too late. There are no more pixels available :(

Because chances are Alex Tew, a 21-year-old student from a small town in England, is cleverer than you. And he is proving it by earning a cool $US1 million ($A1.37 million) in four months on the internet.

Selling porn? Dealing prescription drugs? Nope. All he sells are pixels, the tiny dots on the screen that appear when you call up his home page.

He had the brainstorm for his million dollar home page, called, logically enough, www.milliondollarhomepage.com, while lying in bed thinking out how he would pay for university.

I'd be more impressed if whoever was quoted for how he did it would learn how to do grammar and spelling. It's "more clever than you" not "more cleverer than you".

Yes, spelling & grammar nazi is in the house.

More seriously you might have to watch yourself with this.

Giving away money to a random donor might bring you under legislation for lotteries. You might not be old enough to run a lottery or you might have to register a lottery. I think you're ok on the main point in that you are giving away 50% of the money.

Aye. Anything over £250000 must be registered with the Gambling (gaming?) Commission and have a gaming licence.

Nice idea, but I think you're fooked on this one.
