Any idea how much CO2 a cow produces?

A report has shown that livestock produces more greenhouse gases then cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together.

I just want to know how the EPA thinks this will 'deter' the amount of emissions a cow lets off. I mean, it's not like we can stick a cork in them to halt methane production now is it? I can read the law now... "Cows shall not be permitted to emit any methane gasses between the hours of >>>>> and >>>>>> each day... yah, ok, sure. We'll get right on that.

To all you vegetarians out there: The way to solve Cow Greenhouse Gasses is to EAT THE COWS THAT MAKE THE GAS. I'm doing my part, why aren't you?

Of course you can't reduce the amount of emissions a cow makes

But you can limit the number of cows. Which is probably what this tax aims to do. More cows -> more tax..
