MS 0day actively exploited

Postby Harry » Tue Jul 07, 2009 10:35 am

There's an 0day within ActiveX being activley exploited on XP all SP's and below.

Automated fix for it can be found here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972890

Its reated critical so a patch will probably be pushed out today or tomorrow I would have thought.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing.

OK, it's fixed - If my bloody computer blows up I'm blaming you because you made me do it

If I tell folks about this, I need to know how it would be affecting their computers - and I'd like to know too

If I've got this right, opening a malicious website containing a specially crafted video in Internet Explorer will allow the attacker to gain control of your system. As long as you don't use IE, you're not vulnerable.
