Superstorm Sandy takes down several New York data centres, websites

All Gawker Media websites, including Gizmodo and Lifehacker, were down

Superstorm Sandy, one of the biggest storms ever to hit eastern US, has knocked down some of the New York's data centres affecting several mdia websites that include Huffington Post, Gawker and Buzzfeed.

Huffington Post said that due to power outages caused by Superstorm Sandy, our own website is experiencing technical difficulties and the it is working trying to get the site back to normal.
