I know a couple of those folks and them being marketing types, I see their point. But, it was bound to happen and Adobe will pay the price, once again, for its sloppy, shoddy, irresponsible security practices.
The takeaway here is it is long past time to rid your desktop of Adobe Reader, Flash, Shockwave and anything else you get from Adobe (usually free) that launches local executables (that means on your desktop) from remote systems (that means any other system in the Internet).
