War Thunder

The place to kick back, relax, have a few cold ones, and grill a few on the BBQ

3 of me?

Discovering the Ruski planes are far better than everything else and the Brit stuff you get to start with sucks. Got to do some grind before you can even buy a Hurricane.
Kicked some ass in my Russian biplane. 4 kills in one session.

I was on there for a while tonight. Tried a couple of the tutorials and joined a mission. Still trying to sort out the controls. They don't quite translate to the Apple trackpad or Magic Mouse. BTW, no Apple download at this time, so I'm running it in a virtual Win7 environment. Now, I'm kicking myself for selling the joystick.

Might have to go shopping.

I think a stick would be a good move if you're really into it.

I've got my Ruski planes loaded up with bombs too now which makes taking out the ground targets a little easier. You can spend your in game cash in the research window. But you're mostly restricted by rank before you can buy stuff. I note there seems to be an update soon.

I've only has one mission so far where there were boats.

I'm still playing a lot. Didn't realise it's just a beta.

I'm not paying for anything so just grinding at the lower levels. I don't really care too much about reaching the top levels. I just want to deck out my planes with cannons where possible. I've a lovely couple of Hurricanes and spitfires but they're early types without cannon and I'd be as well hurling harsh language at a bomber.

but will make an effort to get back into the air
looking forward to the sea / land elements being added
although there is already a tank battle game out there

gratuitous tank battles IIRC

So far, I like flying the Hurricane best. I still haven't qualified for the Spitfire. Have seven kills.
