Merry Christmas

It's Christmas Eve here in the Rapier household.

Gifts are wrapped and Christmas music is playing on the home entertainment system. The snow is all melted off the lawn and roads, and we now have a frosty sheet of ice out there. Plans are to have the kids and grandkids over for a snaky kind of meal before we attend a Christmas Eve service, then have a quiet evening at home.

I love having the grandkids around this time of year. It just adds a sense of wonder to everything.

Here's to hoping you all have a great Christmas, holiday or whatever you celebrate. Have a warm, fun time with family and hope we have a great new year in 2014.

And, I hope none of you got "Target"--ed.

I'm all turkey'd out.
2nd time catering for the folks. Still have no portion control. Got enough food left to feed a small African dictatorship.

My Mum couldn't make it, she's put her back out and is currently flying high on diazepam.

Hope everyone enjoys the festivities. I've got beer in the fridge waiting on me when the wee man decides he's going to bed. Today has been mostly Fireman Sam themed.
