Becoming a Mascot

The place to kick back, relax, post general bullshit, and grill a few on the BBQ. Whatever doesn't fit into another forum would go here. We periodically go through and move posts to the correct forum, but we do charge a case of Beer every time we have to.

Becoming a Mascot

Post: # 98067Post Kamah

So I've decided to apply to become a mascot for Metrocon2008..

Basically I get to dress up like some anime addict's wet dream and try out to be a mascot. I'll get a photo shoot done and picture posted on some ads.

Anyone who watches anime have any costume suggestions? If I get it, I get lifetime admittance and an extra ticket for a guest!

Not an anime fan, so I have no ideas...

But... seeing pics from conventions like these, I do likes the eye-candy...

But I think you said it best - "anime addict's wet dream"!!!

What wins normally?

a - Young lady with as little as possible on or most dresses like a manga hooker/fetishist

b - best complex/hard build costume.

- Denis Diderot (1713-1784)

Most time spent and an outgoing personality to get people going.

When it comes to dressing up, the people into anime don't care how much you have on, but who you dress up as. If you dress as a character from a hit anime of the season, you're stopped and asked for pictures (whether you work the con or not).

Yea, I'd see scantily clad women may not be appealing to some of these guys as much as a lady dressed up as a freakin' fairy or something...

However, the lady who is the current Tomb Raider model/spokeswoman is quite nice.. :D

I enjoy anime, but i haven't seen very much of it ... mainly the mainstream ones.

As for suggestions,

one of the chicks from bleach, the costume would be pretty basic AND you get to bring a sword ;)

The Major from GITS1, pretty basic look again...

or if you want to try to make an elaborate costume, suit up in armor and go as a claymore!

Bleach has been over done. They'd turn anyone like that away in a heartbeat I'd think. AND you can't bring real weapons...

any suit of armor people will think I'm a screwy Al from Full Metal Alchemist

Now that is nice...just the right amount of extra meat on her bones...no matter how pretty a skinny woman looks, they look just way too frail for my liking. ;)
