This may or not be in the correct place, but I would like to know, are there any guides/tutorials that exist to help me learn about this?

Just to let you know, I have a program that requires a USB dongle, of which I have two. They are very fragile, and one has already broken. I would like to not even have to use one. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

unfortuantly eg, not quite what I was looking for. I know I've seen something in the past on the subject.

What I do remember was this; person inserted it in a linux machine and observed the traffic running from the dongle, replayed that traffic on a pseudo-device (soft only) and bypassed needing the dongle
