Never underestimate the stupidity of the electorate.

But yes he nailed his coffin with that one. Labour potentially could poll 3rd which will probably destroy the party.
Well if insolvency doesn't get them first. If the British Labour party was a company the liquidators would have moved in years ago.

But it's been an interesting race. They're all lying to us of course. None of them can afford to say the truth about the scale of cut-backs that are needed to repair the damage that Gorgon Brune has done with his mismanagement of the economy.
The mob don't like the truth, just look at Greece, and the Greek gov isn't telling the whole truth yet either.

The real choice people have is to be shafted to their face by the Tories or shafted behind their backs by Labour. If the Libdems get in you'll be shafted by a Lithuanian plumber.

US citizens might like to take a look at some of the debate footage to compare it with the US debates.

And for those that haven't see it here is Gordon Brown, Prime Minister of Britain, calling an old lady a bigot behind her back.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFl_evwML2M

And here our Beloved Leader does the mighty face-palm when he gets busted live on air and managed to f^ck up an apology by qualifying it with an 'If'. There is a good reason he get referred to as the 'Prime Mentalist'.

I'm voting for the British National Party
they haven't got a hope in hell of winning any seats, but the total number of votes they get SHOULD get the other feckers thinking

LibDem say they will grant amnesty for 2 MILLION Illegal Immigrants
they are oppose to nuclear power
opposed to nuclear deterrent
opposed to ...........
they seem to be against a lot of things
but can't actually bne nailed down on any FOR points :P

Labour have been in power for 13 years, Brown was chancellor from the start, now an un-elected Prime Minister
and is STILL saying it is the fault of the Tories for the way we are now :?
and they are actively encouraging the super rich to move here, which might SOUND good, but those fat feckers are classed as non-doms, as in they are not actually LIVING here just STAYING, so they pay NO tax, and the companies they run are all overseas too, so no jobs here from them, and they have the open run of No10 as and when they want it, so they can get what they want :(

Tories left us with a HUGE amount of surplus wealth, solid economy and good prospects, but they allowed the bankers to 'sex up' their trade, and let them drive us down this world wide feck up, just look at France, they are still, manily, agricultural, and they don't use credit like we do, and the impact is FAR less there than in any other developed nation

and they are ALL dipping their fat little fingers into OUR money in THAT expense 'scandal' with some even using taxpyers money to DEFEND themselves in court

I vote Vinnie Jones for Prime Minister, would feckin LOVE to be a fly on cabinet meetings then :)

Amazingly enough Asp, Stephen Colbert did a bit on the debates comparing them to the US Presidential debates. A good laugh was had by all since the snippet we saw was over one of the more trivial things they were discussing (the price of train fare).

I wish that both here and other 'democratic' nations would make it illegal for any one person to serve more than a single term of office, and that no one from the legal profession - barrister, judge, cop, court reporter, bailiff, or secretary receptionist from a law firm would be allowed to hold any form of office whatsoever.

I also wish that we could invent a 'third house' - designed specifically to overturn laws by simple majority vote and have it assigned a quota of a certain number of laws which must be overturned every 3 months, and that the standing houses must pass a law with a 2/3ds majority from BOTH houses or it doesn't become law.

But then again I once wished horses could fly under their own power and I've got every bit as much chance of seeing THAT happen as any of the above.

Good luck England, and may the least of the 3 weevils win.

PS - why can't Lady Thatcher be brought back by popular proclamation? She was the best PM I can remember since...well, ever.

Liberal Democrats immigration policy

Postby Harry » Fri Apr 30, 2010 1:14 pm

I quite like the Lib Dem's immigration policy.

The other two simply say deport the illegals - but the best figure is that around 900,000 - 1m illegal immigrants are in the UK....are they all going to be deported...maybe but not in our life time.

The Lib Dems attitude is that they are all here now, they all must work (illegally) they all live somewhere and there is no way they will all ever be deported - if they were deported it would cost billions in extra border police and all the paperwork, investigations, plane fares etc to get rid of them. Say they all came from Poland - usually (by wathing UK border force) it takes 6 or 7 offices to go to a place to find them, then a few days to process them, then they have to be held and fed whilst waiting to deport them, then a one way flight back home. This flight alone could be say £100 for example, times that by 1 million....thats a 100,000,000 just in plane fares to deport them all.

A one off amnesty, if you've been here for 10 years, have not been caught before and absconded or committed any crime, you speak English and you are working then have a chance to do it legally, keep your job and start paying taxes. I don;t agree that they should then be allowed to bring a family member over - however, if they have been here for more than 10 years I would suppose that they would have already got their family here anyway...

Say 500,000 of them stay and all get a job paying 20k per year - that could be around 4k in tax per person or 2,000,000,000 in extra tax in a year...as opposed to the price tag to get rid of them all.

They are here anyway and are probably going to be here for the rest of their lives unless they are one of the few that get caught and deported, may as well tax them..plus they will then probably get a house, pay council tax, insure their cars, tax their cars, pay national insurance etc all the stuff you don't do if you are an illegal..

I don;t agree with scrapping the pound fo the Euro though.. :(

Even Monty Python couldn't have created a script such as what the Brits have been subjected to for 10 years... :rolf6: But considering what our esteemed bunch have been up to lately I can't throw any fecking boulders at big fecking glass houses....I'm voting for the weed party next time around, what the heck, a stoner would probably get at least the opposition to laugh along as well as the stiff necked barstards that screw the tax paying public every which way through to Tuesday and further...next revolution it's the axe for the following (no necessary order), politician's, bankers, lawyers, judges, parking enforcement people,(insert here anyone I may have missed).... :cool3:

Yep, already pre-dirtied ones. Why do we keep dressing our nation up in them?

Hrm. The weed party. If the US had such a candidate I'd probably back them not only with my vote but with financial contributions as well.

There has been far too much headline chasing and lining of pockets for 13 years.

I personally would like to see a few small things (never going to happen though)

1> Some tax shifting to get a bit more manufacturing going. Manufacturing can employ lots of people, and exports generate revenue. One of the reasons that we are in this shite state of affairs is that there isn't enough diversity within the economy. All our eggs are in the financial basket and someone dropped it.

2>Big investment in renewable power systems that work. So no more bloody windmills. Wave and tidal power could be a big earner here. Fix that to large scale hydrogen generation and the UK could again be a net energy exporter. That and algae bio diesel generation.

3>Forget the idea that taxing rich people loads is good. Crack down on non-doms who pay more tax yes, but we need people with money here. People with money own businesses, businesses employ people.

4>If we can't get the hell out of the EU we should refuse to put any more money in until the accounts get signed off. There is so much corruption within the EU that the accounts haven't bee approved for years.

5>Stop overseas aid. We can't help other people if we can't look after ourselves. And what the hell are we doing giving pots of cash to China and India anyway.

6> Stop raising revenue via fines. If you want a population to respect authority don't take the piss. Speed cameras on the middle of every straight bit of road but never outside a school, fines if your bin lid isn't shut tight, fines for the tax man making mistakes (not you), ID card nonsense.

7> Get the little trouble making shits in court not grannies selling goldfish.
http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/phili ... ts-senses/

8>Stop paying benefits in cash. Why do I have less money than some little bastard that has never worked? Why does he have enough money to have contract Iphones, plasma telly, fags and booze and sky. My TV is 15 years old I can't afford a new one. Give them vouchers for housing and food. If they don't like it, fuck 'em. Bring back the workhouse!

I am not defending Gordy but what happened was this, she said in regards to her immigration question "where are they all flocking from?" and he thought she said "where are they all f***ing from?" it was in one of the sunday papers I forget which columnist it was who wrote the article.

It's funny how all these wonderful mainfestos are presented with seemingly good promises, then when the election has been won and the successful party is in place, amnesia soon sets in.

anyway was going to vote Green but they were not on my voting form
