Hello Tazzers,

Post: # 117804Post OMEN
Thu Jul 31, 2008 2:35 pm

I am moving forums, I have never understood the point of social networking and thus far only used chat, email and forums.

I'm leaving my previous forum because:

I feel like I am actually growing up and everyone else isn't, where I worry about paying bills and everyone else worries if ps3 or xbox360 is better. Everyone around me is 12. Help always is followed by some remarks how everyone else knew the better answer, but just weren't bother to post it.

I have spent too much money and I know too much to be wasted there..

Why I chose this forum:

I googled and stumbled across several nice articles here, I was surprised by the effort put into them and the lack of "stupid posts" (you know the ones, where the second post after a how to guide is "please help, write a guide for me please" ).

Who am I ?:

I'm 23 and have been a computer geek since 12, im currently doing my MCSE certification. I have 294*, 298 and 284 to go. I generally like technology and geeking out about tech stuff.
I used to play lots of computer games but now I just don't have the time.

I am sometimes an ass (in the sense that I will abuse stupidity or lack of common sense).

I'm from GB, London.

I hope I can fit in, I mean how can I not ? you guys have a BSD section and a Wireless section !!

Hey,

We hide the stoopid posts but we still have them.

Welcome aboard. Don't get put off by the noob restrictions they've worked well for keeping us spam free but they are a pain.

There are also some hidden areas (nowt exciting) when you've post whored for a bit.

See ya round.

Sounds like the first forum I joined...a hardware forum where everyone was between 12 and 17, even the admins were 17 at the time...talk about a generation gap :D

Welcome! :D

Welcome to our home Omen - sounds like you'll fit right in with us, although a few of us do tend to get a little crazy sometimes (read that as 'drunk' in my case) - all bets are off when I come around with a good buzz..

At any rate, like Asp said, the restrictions won't last long for ya..

Hope to see ya around!

DaFoxx: I have MCP thus far (270, 290, 291, 293,) I should have MCSA after the 294* and the 298 and after the 284 MCSE

294* = I took this exam on 21st of July and the bleeding simulation questions (which there were 3 of) did not work. I failed with 500 points :( .

I have appealed for a score ammendment since my last exam 293 I barely passed with 700 becasue again 3 simulation questions didn't work.

I phoned up the monkeys at prometric and was insulted in a manner I have yet to insult anyone yet. The customer complaints representative (who sounded like a 40 something indian woman) said this to me:
"some time when you click on the wrong button the test looks like nothing is happening"

There were more lines that sounded like she was making me look like a moron .. I mean, HEY I had 200 something minutes for 46 questions and after completing the test in 2 hours and then going back to the broken questions to make sure i'm not retarded, I get this ?

Follow up:
After I emailed with the needed details I had 3 replies :D. I sent 2 emails concerning different exams, later to find only one of which was aknowledged. After I have sent the third email I received a reply that suggested that one (or more) of my emails went into the spam box.

The representative "notified" me that after taking a short "show" test he found nothing wrong with the testing software and any score ammendments will go to MS, but Prometric do offer a free exam if there was something wrong with the testing software (he stated this aswell).

The bit about free exam from prometric suggests that the @ssh*les know damn right their sh!t isn't working.

This is too much stress for me and im just trying to study for the 298 now..
