The place to kick back, relax, post general bullshit, and grill a few on the BBQ. Whatever doesn't fit into another forum would go here. We periodically go through and move posts to the correct forum, but we do charge a case of Beer every time we have to.

There's 20 pages of inactive accounts (50 per page), some dating back to 2009
Unfortunately the URL processing only seems to be for signatures. I was hoping this was also for their posts. Still a good thing to keep though. Once they're past 10 posts this limitation will be lifted.

Dammit, the option not to parse links was for the group description only. It has absolutely no effect on the posting capabilities of new users
I did find this:
https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=1576205
Looks exactly like the thing we need. But that requires some hacking by someone with file access..

Chopped pretty much everything up until yesterday. If they haven't activated their account by tomorrow I'll delete those too.

Do we have the "nofollow" set, as mentioned in the first article?
Rapier57.
Jayne: Testing. Testing. Captain, can you hear me?
Mal: I'm standing right here.
Jayne: You're coming through good and loud.
Mal: 'Cause I'm standing right here.

just cull them as admin, quicker that way, and if Email looks interesting, ban that too
obviously we can't ban gmail, although TBH I HAVE banned it for a week at a time in recent months

just checking into nofollow, and it looks like we just have to add a little bit of html magic
from the above linked page, view source to see the two SELL SNAKE OIL links set out
Code: Select all
<p><a href="http://www.forumdr.com/?tag=snake-oil">Buy Snake Oil Here</a> or <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.forumdr.com/?tag=snake-oil">Buy Snake Oil Here</a></p>
