A KVM switch, which has a 3G router attached, allows a user to control multiple computers. This enabled the gang to remotely transfer funds to other back accounts.
Pretty good hack other than getting caught

pretty good, but a little tacky in that it needed to physically get a KVM into the branch

whereas REAL hacker dudes would have cracked the web interface whilst being pleasured orally by AngJo within 30 seconds
its true, and Ive seen the movie :D

Good, tacky -- what the heck. They got in, got the device(s) installed, and almost got away with it. Shows that the most vulnerable place in any organization is the front door. Smooth operators can break into just about any outfit and gain physical access. And, of course, we always say: Physical access trumps everything.

A little bit more SE and panache and they may have gotten away with it.

Jayne: Testing. Testing. Captain, can you hear me?
Mal: I'm standing right here.
Jayne: You're coming through good and loud.
Mal: 'Cause I'm standing right here.
