Hello all
I have just found this forum and the little that I have read makes me belive that I should fit in just fine. I am an IT Admin for a manufacturing company in NW Oregon. We make products for the forest product industry. I have just over 100 users, with around 20 servers (redundancy has its benifits) and too many printers. We are mostly a windows shop with only a couple of Linux servers. I hope that I will be able to add value to the conversations. I will be posting some question as well. Thanks goes to the founders of TAZ and I look forward to some interesting reading.

Thanks all. Egaladeist, I found this site while I was searching for a soultion to a problem. The page that I found didnt have anything to do with the problem that I was researching, however I found your site anyway. I was researching an issue with Crystal Reports 9 DLL that fails to install on a computer that has CR8.5. Just this one computer (well I have 2 computers that are identical, and they both fail, only the one needs the dll.) Anybody have issues with keycode.dll not being able to register manually...?
ELSparrow, thanks for the greeting, and I'll take you up on the beer...

Hey there Eric...welcome
As for your crystol reports question...I had nothing but problems with Crystal 8.5 and 9.0
Have just recently gone to 10...and the issues have disappeared....I think...havent fully tested
We had too many conflicts with older DB programs and the report engines and version conflicts with crystal....and it all was dlls.
I have one machine that has to dual boot to run crystal and a report application we run ...provided by the government of Canada...it is a customs reporting tool...and it is using crystal 8.5 report generation engine.....and our older database program has a major conflict with it.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing.

Thanks for the welcome
Thanks all, Regarding the program question, would the Programming, Web Design and Graphics be the better forum to post it in?
