Don't talk about something you know nothing about, and especially when it's something I know something about ... Don't start a fight when you don't know your oppenent ... You're a kid, maybe not in years, but your mind definatly still is. I really hate it when people talk about the 2nd world war and telling me that the Belgians didn't fight ... Learn something about history and then lets talk again ... That's all I have to say about it before it turns ugly.
I didn't say you didn't fight.

My point was based around the German's Blitzkrieg tactics being highly effective.

Hell, how long did it take the British to actually get a foothold on mainland europe?

Its ok .... I always get a bit Hot on this topic .. Grand Father fighting in the big war and all ...

If the Belgian army was atleast half of what it was arround that time, it would still be a great army ... Now everything is corrupt, weapons dissapear, even big a$$ armored personell carriers dissapear ... It's shamefull to say the least.

I'm proud I've served, but not so much lately anymore.

So that's why I overreact sometimes ;)

Actually British and Canadian paratroopers stormed Normandy in June 1942...and took most of the shoreline area from Caan to Dieppe and if America had been in on that invasion we could've ended it there and then...instead of eventually getting trapped...there just wasn't enough of a inland force there to maintain the foothold by ourselves.

Cem.

My grandad and his brother fought in WW2.

Lost my Great Uncle tho in the pacific :(

My grandad was a para tho. Fought in D-Day, Arnhem etc.

He never completed his memoirs he was writing for me. And he died when I was about 4/5. Still bloody proud of what he did for me and the rest of my country :)

As you should be proud of your grandfather.

Go to Google, type in French Military Victories and hit the 'I feel lucky' button.

I still get a good laugh out of it, but then again I am easily amused :P
